Dr. Paul M. Henricks, DVM, MS, DACVIM (retired)
Dr Henricks recently retired from Boston Cat Hospital.

Dr. Paul Henricks was born in Saskatchewan, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Regina, and was awarded his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1982. Thereafter, Dr. Henricks completed a medicine and surgery private practice internship at the Animal Clinic of Regina, followed by a 2 year residency program in internal medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. During his residency, Dr. Henricks completed one month externships in dermatology and oncology at the University of California - Davis. After his residency, Dr. Henricks served as Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.

In 1988, Dr. Henricks became an internist at South Shore Veterinary Associates (currently known as VCA South Shore Animal Hospital) and practiced there for 15 years. From 2004 to 2008 Dr. Henricks worked as a specialist in internal medicine at the Cape Animal Referral and Emergency Center. In 2009, Dr. Henricks joined the staff of Vetcision, a referral and emergency hospital in Waltham. As a specialist in internal medicine, Dr. Henricks provides services in ultrasound, flexible and rigid endoscopy, as well as consultations in internal medicine and dermatology.

Henricks is an active member of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM), and has served on the residency training and standards committees. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association (RIVMA), American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), and the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatologists (AAVD).

Dr. Henricks performs abdominal ultrasounds and consultations in internal medicine and dermatology.

Dr. Henricks and his wife, Dr. Patricia Gallo, live on the South Shore with their four cats: Odo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Naboo, and Yeager.
